Let’s Pretend This Never Happened: A Mostly True Memoir by Jenny Lawson.Perceptions, Rumors, and Truths by Tracy L.I compiled a list of my favorite books for all you bookies. So, even though the books I listed on this list are not like The Fault In Our Stars per se, I strongly feel like if you enjoyed that book that you would enjoy these, as well. There’s nothing better than reading about someone else’s life to really put your own life into perspective, especially if you simply can’t believe that the things you are reading actually happened. I tend to gravitate to young adult novels, fiction novels, and drama, but I also enjoy an entertaining memoir. I long for a book that is so engaging and relatable that I feel myself being transported to another world where I don’t have bills to pay and endless mountains of laundry to do. But generally, the way I rate a book is simply based on how much I enjoyed reading it and by how hard it was to put down. Even though I’m a writer, and I know how taxing and difficult it is to write an entire book from start to finish, I still tend to be judgmental when it comes to rating books. OK, I just thought of something WORSE than all that: paying real hard-earned money for a book that turned out to be a stinker. Or worse, Devoting enough time to get to the middle of a book and feeling guilty for abandoning it if you’re just not feelin’ it.

If you’re like me, you’re always looking for a great new book to read, and there’s nothing worse than devoting hours of your time to a book and being left feeling disappointed by the ending.
